Hello and a very warm welcome to Sole n Soul. My name is Melanie and I am an ITEC qualified Reflexologist (Distinction Grade) and an Accredited Certified EFT Practitioner offering treatments either here face to face or for EFT sessions can be done online.
I am also a member of the Complementary Therapists Association, EFT International and I am also on the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council. All of these organisations have guidelines to follow and one of their requirements is that I have regular refresher training, this ensures you are always in safe hands.
I also received training within The MacMillian Cancer Centre, this is based within the Southampton General Hospital.
MacMillan offer cancer patients various complementary therapies throughout their treatment and I was delighted to be on their team of therapists.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or Tapping as it has become known as more recently, is a mind and body therapy. EFT works upon accupressure points within the body. These accupressure points are along the meridian lines within the body and EFT works by releasing energy that may be blocked there.
Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) helps us tune in to the negative patterns that we may have formed these include; uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, or troubling memories. When we ‘tap’ on the correct pressure points while bringing the thoughts or emotions into consciousness. The aim is to find relief, relaxation, and promote healing around the emotional or physical issues that may be holding us back.
During a session I help a client “tap into” their unique subjective experience of a presenting challenge (or troubling issue/s) for the purpose of gaining clarity and resolution. This supports the client in making changes (emotional and/or physical), shifting limited thought processes, resolving past traumas, opening to beneficial ways to move forward and more.
There is now a large amount of science and research that has been published on EFT please see here:
